Wildlife Safaris
The main attraction of staying on the Ngorongoro Crater rim is the opportunity to embark on safari drives into the Ngorongoro Crater itself. Our lodge is just a five minute game drive from the Crater Floor. As one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in Africa, the crater is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, more. We enjoy twice daily guided safari drives, led by experienced and knowledgeable guides who will help you spot and learn about the animals and their behaviours.
Bush Breakfasts
Start your day with a memorable bush breakfast served in the heart of the African wilderness, surrounded by spectacular scenery and wildlife sightings.
Unparalleled views of the panorama
The tent itself is encircled by a private wooden veranda deck, sporting comfortable seating with unparalleled views of the panorama. There’s even a spotting scope on every balcony from which you can better see the animals in the Crater. Look out for elephant, zebra, bushbuck and waterbuck from your tented suite.
“The views were drop dead gorgeous and the employees are nothing short of FABULOUS! Beyond kind, responsive, and understanding. The amenities are well kept and the entire experience in nature is made comfortable. What a birthday!!!”

Sundowner cocktails
Sundowners are an African safari tradition. As the sun sets over the Ngorongoro Crater, gather with fellow guests for sundowner cocktails and canapés at a scenic location within the lodge grounds. We are situated on the north-eastern side of the Crater so we boast a direct view of the sunset.
Private dining
For a truly romantic and intimate dining experience, arrange a private dinner under the stars, either on your suite’s private terrace or at a secluded spot within the lodge’s grounds. Magical.
Nature walks and hikes
Explore the stunning landscapes surrounding the Ngorongoro Crater on guided nature walks or hiking trails. Our lodge offers guided walks led by expert naturalists who will point out the diverse flora, fauna and geological features of the area.
Cultural experiences
Interact with the local Maasai community by visiting the nearby Maasai villages to learn about their traditional way of life, cultural traditions, and crafts.
